  • the definitive seacraft "copy" thread...

Just got yelled at by an industry member in Hingham... lot of tension around seacrafts...

Cape cod 26: I fished next to one in plymouth during the whale jump... wow diesel is stinky. I now understand why my downeast bros spend so much time on exhaust. Utmost respect for folks who bought this or the albin...
keywest- copied the 20 and 23? yes good boats
bass pro shops - owned the mark. not copies. somehow less carolina flare?
silverhawk - some bad mojo between teams... had to extend them wider so they wouldn't fit in the molds... but great boats. right?
conch - huh. fishiest boats around. maybe slightly less freeeboard at the transom?
metan - meh. yes perfection and I love the factory five guys for their cobra... I prefer my plywood/epoxy transom... for the price. But we are on the same team.

Palm Beach. I've heard their build quality was suspect to say the least, but im pretty sure they used OG seacrafts as plugs for their molds on their 18, 20, and 23
